Our Team

We have four Chefs on staff who are passionate about what they do. They put the same care into preparing meals for our small neighborhood restaurant or gourmet international cuisine for our catering division clients, they care. The front of the house wait staff and our catering servers are just as passionate. Here at Chic Le Chef, we ARE the company. We take pride in what we do on every level and it shows.

We provide both Event and Wedding Planning services for the day of your event. If you have your own event planner, we are happy to work closely with them. We want your wedding or special event to run smoothly and on time.

Julie Hoskins

The founder and original chef of Chic Le Chef is Julie Hoskins. She presently is the weekly host of KPFZ radio’s weekly talk show “The Culinary View”. She also writes wine and food articles for SauvignonBlanc.org and SummertimeInAGlass.org. Julie left the banking industry in 2006 to follow her passion in the culinary arts. She works hand-in-hand with owner and executive Chef, Mario Monroy. Julie is “hands-on” as the General Manager of both the Restaurant and Catering Divisions of Chic Le Chef. Julie works as a consulting chef for the catering division along with lending her business expertise in the day to day business operations. Customer satisfaction along with the art of combining food, wine and an unique atmosphere continues to fuel Julie’s passion.  Her goal is for continuing success in Chic Le Chef as stand-out, growing enterprise.

Mario Monroy

Mario came on board Chic Le Chef as the Executive Chef in 2012 and purchased the business in 2013 allowing for expansion of the business.  Mario comes from a long and prestigious career as an Executive Chef in high end resorts and restaurants in Napa Valley. Mario’s culinary experience in world class cuisine with attention to detail has honed his skill to provide a memorable experience for his catering clientele. Mario has retained a personable and approachable style that is signature of Chic Le Chef’s customer service. Mario and Julie are a dynamic duo that combines know-how and the personality needed to take great care of our discerning clients.

Our Focus

Chic Le Chef is a specialty catering company that creates fresh, unique, in-house, from scratch cuisine. We specialize in creating appetizers, wine-country platters, buffets and full-course plated dinners, expertly paired with  wonderful wines from our region. We have a wide offering of classic and ethnic cuisine. We enjoy working with our clients to create customized menus tailored to either the corporate “brand”, a bride’s “special day” a family celebration or a winemaker’s private tasting.

We pride ourselves with a quick turn-around on proposals and having no hidden costs. Some events take months to plan; some events are scheduled at the last minute, we are happy to do both. If we can accommodate you, we will.

Ultimately our #1 goal is to please our client. We want to be able to walk away knowing that we exceeded our goal in providing a truly unique and wonderful experience that will be remembered long past the event is over.
